Independent public interest mirror, edited and run by The Reasonable Adjustment

About This page explains why this domain exists, who runs it, and how responsibilities are split between The Reasonable Adjustment and Ki-Ki.

Why this domain was bought in the first place

I bought therecruitmentjunction.co.uk once it became clear that serious concerns around funding, safeguarding and equality were going to be pushed into private inboxes and left there. Owning the domain creates a permanent record that is easy to find when people search for The Recruitment Junction by name.

Having control of the domain means key documents, timelines and funding records are not dependent on social media, a single hosting platform, or the charity itself. If you are a service user, funder, commissioner, journalist or regulator, you get one stable place that will not quietly disappear when the story becomes inconvenient.

There was also a small amount of irony in the choice to register the domain. It amused me, but it is not important enough to take up your time. The serious part is the public record.

Who runs this site

My name is Kieron JH. I am the sole operator of this domain, and I also run two linked projects:

  • The Reasonable Adjustment A public interest platform that publishes detailed write ups, documents and timelines around probation, charities, healthcare, data rights and similar issues.
  • Ki-Ki A small consultancy that looks after web foundations for real organisations. That covers static sites, Cloudflare configuration, hardened headers and evidence grade logging for SMEs, charities and community projects.

This site sits at the intersection of those two projects. The Reasonable Adjustment owns the editorial work and the decisions about what is published. Ki-Ki provides the technical build and neutral infrastructure, so the record is fast, stable and well logged.

Editorial work versus neutral infrastructure

The split between The Reasonable Adjustment and Ki-Ki is not about pretending there are two separate people. It is there to make the boundary clear between what I write and how the site is run under the hood.

On this domain:

  • Editorial decisions about wording, documents, what is highlighted and how it is framed are made through The Reasonable Adjustment.
  • Infrastructure decisions such as DNS, HTTPS, Cloudflare rules, static build and logging are carried out through Ki-Ki under its Neutral Infrastructure Policy.

That policy sets out how Ki-Ki treats infrastructure work as neutral. The same care around uptime, security and logs would apply whether the site was a food bank, a small garage or a public interest archive like this one.

Why a permanent record matters here

Concerns raised about The Recruitment Junction include public funding statements that do not match council payment records, withdrawal of support from a disabled service user, handling of safeguarding and complaint processes, and later award publicity that ignores those gaps.

Without a stable record, each of those points gets lost in separate email threads and half remembered conversations. With a dedicated domain you can:

  • Read the underlying documents yourself.
  • See how events unfolded in time rather than as isolated screenshots.
  • Link directly to specific sections when raising questions with funders, trustees or regulators.

Buying the domain turned a private dispute into something that can be examined properly. Nobody is required to agree with my analysis, but the evidence is there for anyone who needs it.
